With just two rules for how to play your cards these internationally-recognized strategy card games are easy to learn, but packed with action, surprises, remarkable turnarounds, and plenty of chances to wreak extreme havoc on your fellow players. Secretly pick a card from your hand, then play it on one of four rows. Here are the two rules: Your card must be higher than the last card in a row, and it has to be played next to the last card that’s closest in number. If you play the sixth card in a row, you take that row . . . and all the points in it. That’s when the game earns its name, as you’re forced to “take five” cards. Take a Number is a stand-alone game with advanced rules that builds on the basic edition to create an extreme “Take” experience that’s specifically designed for 2, 3, or 4 players: the number of cards in each row varies, you’ll get the chance to create your own row, and you can add cards back into your hand.
